Pet Grooming Service Agreement

Welcome to Kutty Paws. Thank you for trusting us with your pet's grooming needs. Our goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and stress-free grooming experience for your pet. Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before booking your grooming appointment.

1. Eligibility & Health Requirements

• All pets presented for grooming must be in good health and free from contagious illnesses, infections, or parasites that may endanger other pets or staff.
• Pet parents must disclose all relevant health information before the appointment, including medical conditions, allergies, skin sensitivities, recent surgeries, injuries, medications, and behavioural concerns.
• Pets showing signs of illness, infection, open wounds, severe skin issues, or contagious conditions may be refused service or may be advised to seek veterinary care before grooming.
• Vaccination records may be requested wherever required for safety compliance.

2. Grooming Service Scope

• Grooming services will be provided based on the selected package or service requested by the pet parent.
• Services may include bathing, blow-drying, brushing, coat trimming, haircut/styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, sanitary trims, de-shedding, and hygiene maintenance, depending on the selected package.
• Grooming outcomes may vary depending on the pet's coat condition, temperament, skin health, breed requirements, and cooperation during the session.
• Estimated grooming duration is approximate and may vary based on coat type, behaviour, and service complexity.

3. Behavioural Policy

• Pets must be reasonably manageable and safe to groom.
• Aggressive, highly anxious, fearful, or uncooperative pets may require additional handling support, rest breaks, or modifications to the service.
• Kutty Paws reserves the right to refuse, pause, modify, or discontinue grooming services if the pet poses a risk to itself, staff, equipment, or others.
• Full or partial service charges may still apply if grooming is discontinued due to behavioural issues.

4. Health, Safety & Emergency Care

• All grooming tools and equipment will be used with professional care and hygiene protocols.
• Pet parents acknowledge that grooming involves inherent risks, including but not limited to minor cuts, clipper irritation, nail quicking, skin sensitivity, stress reactions, or accidental injury, especially in sensitive, elderly, or medically fragile pets.
• If a pet shows signs of illness, distress, injury, or medical concern during grooming, Kutty Paws will attempt to contact the pet parent immediately.
• If immediate veterinary care is necessary and the pet parent is unavailable, Kutty Paws reserves the right to seek emergency veterinary assistance.
• All veterinary, transportation, medication, hospitalization, or related emergency expenses shall be the sole responsibility of the pet parent.
• Pet parents understand and accept that unforeseen medical emergencies or critical health complications may arise during or after grooming due to pre-existing, age-related, hidden, or stress-induced conditions, and Kutty Paws shall not be held liable for any resulting medical outcomes or loss, except in cases of proven negligence.

5. Booking, Rescheduling & Cancellation Policy

• Grooming appointments are subject to availability and must be booked in advance.
• Pet parents are expected to arrive on time for their scheduled appointment.
• Late arrivals may result in reduced service time, rescheduling, or cancellation depending on operational availability.
• Rescheduling requests will be accommodated subject to available slots.
• Repeated no-shows or last-minute cancellations may affect future booking eligibility or priority.

6. Liability & Property Damage

• While all reasonable care will be taken, Kutty Paws will not be held responsible for aggravation of pre-existing medical or skin conditions discovered during or after grooming.
• Pet parents acknowledge that grooming may reveal pre-existing health issues or skin conditions that were not visible before the session.
• Pet parents shall be responsible for any damage or injury caused by their pet to staff, grooming equipment, property, or other pets.
• Any repair, replacement, medical, or compensation costs arising from damage caused by the pet shall be borne by the pet parent.

7. Media Consent

• With the pet parent's consent, Kutty Paws may capture photographs or videos of pets before, during, or after grooming for service records, updates, training, or promotional purposes.

8. Emergency Contact Requirement

• Pet parents must provide at least one active emergency contact who can make urgent decisions or collect the pet if required.

9. Acceptance of Terms

I, {{CUSTOMER_NAME}}, confirm and agree that:

• I have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to all the terms and conditions stated in this Grooming Service Agreement.
